H. Ti Tien, Ph.D.

Professor, Colleges of Natural Science and Human Medicine

Research interests: encompass physiochemical and physiological investigations of bilayer lipid membranes (BLMs and liposomes), reconstituted membrane systems as related to biomembranes, lipid bilayer-based sensors and devices, and solar energy utilization modeled after photosynthesis.  Techniques used include membrane isolation, liposome preparation, voltammetric methods (e.g. cyclic voltammetry) and photoelectrospectrometry.
