After 40 years of research concerning the cardiovascular system, including regulation of coronary and skeletal muscle blood flow, hypertension and cell signaling, my current scholarly interest is in medical education. I am particularly focused on developing a competency based curriculum in cardiovascular pathophysiology that includes balanced treatment of traditional physiology and modern concepts derived from cellular and molecular biology.
