This guidebook describes opportunities for undergraduates who select to major in the Department of Physiology. It presents a brief history of the department and indicates its many associations with other academic programs in the university. It also identifies faculty advising services and student support groups available to help undergraduates construct an appropriate academic plan and progress rapidly and successfully through it. The guidebook outlines course requirements at the department, college and university levels and provides recommendations for class selection and sequence. Also, a question-and-answer format is used to address many problems commonly faced in curriculum planning and career choices.
